Definitely worth a visit, an amazing trip into the history of this area covering 3 or 4 floors. We needed a restorative lunch after all that learning!

Such a baby/children friendly place. We thoroughly enjoy their “Visit the Victorian Santa” event. Staff were lovely and they made space for us, even though we were 1h late. They have tons of space to leave the pram, tons of high chairs a soft play (which needs prior booking) and a lovely museum throughout the history of Docklands. Easy fantastic place!

Fantastic (free) museum with 2 exhibition floors dedicated to the history of the docks and London in one of the best preserved historical building in London.
It is very interactive and also fun for kids! There is also for kids a play room on the ground floor but ticket must be booked (free).
It is not well known but it should be. Access very easy from city centre with DLR line.

I visited in my capacity as a learning support assistant with a school. We focused on WW2 and slavery and trade, very affecting for some of our pupils the realities of the slave trade and the caricatures from the times. I will have to visit again to explore it fully.

It is a very nice museum of reasonable size. We spent 2 hours there because we did not have more time, however, I would need one more to read and study everything there. The building itself is a piece of interesting history. Thank you for sharing.
